Coronavirus Information
March 4, 2020

The health, safety, and well-being of Williams Valley students and staff are top priorities in the Williams Valley School District. With the recent national discussions regarding the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the news, please reference the preventive safety measures on the state links below and reference communications on the school website as updates are provided.

At this time, there have only been a small number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the United States. As a school district, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As of the date of this communication no recommendations to close schools have been made in this area.

We all play a role in reducing the likelihood of a coronavirus outbreak in our school district community. Everyone is encouraged to practice good habits, including: practicing good hygiene, including washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, keeping surfaces clean, and encouraging people to stay home if they are sick.
