It is not required that an excuse for absence be submitted on an Absentee Form from the school district. Written excuses will be accepted on any reasonable form of paper. If your child is absent from school, please send a written note with your child on the day s/he returns to school. The note should contain the following information:

  • Studentís Name (First and Last)
  • Date of the absence
  • Reason for absence
  • Parent/Guardian Signature

Absences not documented by a written excuse within 5 days of the absence will be marked unlawful. Should a student accumulate 3 unlawful absences the parent/guardian will receive a written warning. Subsequent unlawful absences will be subject to a formal complaint to a district magistrate, loss of academic credit and monetary fine.
