Special Education Team

My educational background includes earning my Bachelor’s degree in Education for Social Studies and Special Education (7-12) at Lock Haven University, and my Masters degree in Special Education (K-12) with my supervisory certification at Bloomsburg University. I have taught in many different schools and diverse settings, although my most recent position was at Tri-Valley School District where I was a secondary Learning Support teacher and the District’s Transition Coordinator for eight years. While at Tri-Valley, depending on the time of day, I taught 7-12th grade Learning Support English, Reading, Math, and Transition classes as well as co-taught regular education Math classes and Rotations. I also served as a support in the Life Skills classroom, worked with the Emotional Support students, mentored, and advised different clubs and activities. While working in education, I enjoy getting involved and helping students succeed! Making the students’ time at school meaningful as well as educational is my goal.

A little about myself, my husband and I have four children who are all actively involved in sports and activities including Football, Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Wrestling, Softball, Drama, Archery, Jui-Jitsu, and more that make my life busy. So, upon meeting me face to face, I’m sure you’ve seen me in passing at one event or another. My family and I also enjoy amusement parks, hunting, four wheeling, and fishing. The most popular fun fact about me is that I am shorter than just about every student in 5th grade and above.

As the Director of Student Services, I look forward to helping you and your child research their likes, dislikes, and personal opinions in order for them to make independent decisions about their own life and educational choices. I also look forward to watching them grow and learn about themselves as they build confidence and excitement for their future. My job is to help guide and support you and your child’s team of teachers so your child can reach their own individual goals! Whatever they need, strive for, or question I encourage them and you to let me know. I’m here to help!

I appreciate and thank you for your support with your child’s education and encourage you to contact me with any questions and/or concerns that you may have.
